R&D Team Leader, DevOps

Job Description

Cenevo is seeking a DevOps Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you’ll help design, build, and maintain the cloud infrastructure that empowers Cenevo's products. You’ll work closely with developers, QA, and support teams to ensure our systems are reliable, secure, and scalable.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, solving complex challenges, and continuously improving cloud operations. You’ll have the opportunity to influence our architecture and automation practices while learning from experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a talented team of DevOps engineers

  • Manage and improve Labguru’s AWS multi-account environment using Terraform (IaC)

  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions

  • Monitor infrastructure, application, and security alerts, participating in on-call rotation

  • Troubleshoot issues across development, staging, and production environments

  • Support cost optimization efforts and evaluate AWS service improvements

  • Automate recurring operational and compliance tasks (e.g., key rotation, log reviews, service upgrades)

  • Maintain and enhance our monitoring and observability stack (dashboards, logs, metrics)

  • Contribute to security and compliance automation, ensuring adherence to ISO policies

  • Assist in evaluating and integrating new tools to enhance productivity, security, and performance

Qualifications & Skills 

Must-Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor engineers and drive collaboration across teams
  • Strong experience managing production workloads on AWS
  • Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems and web application components (load balancers, CDN, caching)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
  • Scripting ability with Bash and at least one of Python, Ruby, or Go
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and security best practices
  • Excellent communication skills in English and effective teamwork

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes / ECS or container orchestration
  • Experience with SIEM tools or observability platforms (CloudWatch, New Relic, ELK, etc.)
  • Exposure to security and compliance automation (e.g., ISO, SOC 2, CIS)
  • Interest in researching new tools, technologies, and cloud trends
