QA Team Lead

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized QA Team Lead to guide and mentor our QA team for Cenevo’s Labguru ELN/LIMS and automation platform. In this role, you will define and implement QA methodologies, lead manual and automated testing efforts, and ensure seamless collaboration with R&D, Product, DevOps, and UX/UI teams. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest quality standards across all releases, improving processes, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both technical depth and strong communication skills. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing QA team 
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage testing cycles across multiple product modules 
  • Develop and maintain QA methodologies, standards, and best practices 
  • Review and refine functional requirements and user stories 
  • Drive manual and automated test strategy (including regression, integration, performance) 
  • Ensure full documentation of defects, test results, and validation records 
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to resolve issues and improve usability 
  • Oversee validation processes aligned with regulatory and quality standards 
  • Monitor release quality and coordinate go/no-go decision inputs 

Qualifications & Skills 

Must-Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in software QA, including at least 3 years in a leadership role 
  • Experience working with SaaS products in Agile environments 
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, and defect tracking tools 
  • Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills 
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities 
  • Ability to balance hands-on testing with strategic planning 
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) 

Advantage: 

  • Background in life sciences, biology, biotech, or laboratory workflows 
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., GxP, FDA, ISO) 
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, Playwright)
